One Wave Films is a Cardiff-based production company established by Nan Davies. We are drawn to stories that examine contemporary social themes through compelling characters, both in scripted and documentary and champion Welsh talent.
One Wave's co-producer credits include STILL PUSHING PINEAPPLES (Labour of Love Films), a feature documentary that will open Sheffield DocFest in June, and LEARNING TO BREATHE UNDER WATER (Shudder Films), a drama starring Rory Kinnear and Maria Bakalova, directed by Rebekah Fortune.
Nan's award-winning short films have screened internationally at BAFTA and Academy Award qualifying festivals. Her broadcast credits include Development Producer on BBC Four’s LIFE CINEMATIC, a series that profiled iconic filmmakers such as Sofia Coppola. She also served as Development Exec for Ffilm Cymru, working across their scripted and documentary slate.
Nan was selected for BFI Doc Society’s Producing Truth Programme (2024), BFI Insight Producer Programme (2023) EIFF Talent Lab (2022) and is a BAFTA Connect member. She has been selected for LIMs Development Angel workshop later this year.
